Big Red at rise and Shine program

Hi hi this morning the 1st graders did the rise and shine program- they rocked but the biggest hit was Big Red from the U of A. All the students just loved seeing him, we should have called the hogs-lol. The new character trait word for this month is trustworthiness, and I know as a parent it is one of the things we really try to make sure our girls understand this.

I did get the Jodi Picoult book called House Rules and I so can't wait to start it(hopefully this weekend). Not much else is going on today just the usual, laundry and more laundry. I did not get any running in this morning but I am sure I will tomorrow .

Smencils Smencils

I can honestly say that Mrs. Aldama had a great idea in order to raise money for some new music things. She was selling these pencils that are scented and they were such a big hit. We sold out of them this morning and many students were not able to get more today. But Mrs. Aldama is ordering more and I am going to help her sell them. i think next year the 4th grade should sell the pencils instead of the popcorn they sell to raise money for their hikes.

Yesterday I went up to the school to help make copies for Shelbie's teacher then I helped the 1st grade teachers get the 1st graders ready for their little morning program tomorrow. I am going up there again this afternoon to help. I really enjoy volunteering up at the girls school.

I still have not finished reading Guilty Pleasures, but I am hoping today. Todd and I are going to try to rearrange the living room and start going through some stuff we no longer need.

The girls are doing good, they both have spelling tests tomorrow so we will spend a good part of tonight helping the girls study for that.Lizzie has really been having a good week this week!!!!!

Way to long Since my last post

okay Okay it has been way to long since my last post. I promise to do better!!! I have been having a good week so far, last week was not so hot but that is okay. I have been reading Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton, so far I am enjoying and glad I found another vampire series to read. I have also been doing a lot of knitting, I finished a reading shawl for my mother in law and now I am working on a afghan in Holcomb colors for school.

Both girls are doing good in school, there has been a couple of issues regarding Lizzie and her teacher, but I think it is because her teacher does not understand Lizzie's OCD. Today the girls bought some smencils to help the music class get some new things. i even got 2 that are scented watermelon.

Well Spring Break is coming up and we are all excited because that means we can get a lot of hiking in!!!! I love hiking and it great exercise and just getting outside and spending time with hubby and the girls is the best part.

Well i hate to run but I have to help the girls with some homework.

Married 10 years today

Well Todd and I have married 10 years today. It sure does not seem that long. We have a pretty good day, we just did our regular stuff no big plans. My mom did get us a really nice Maytag dyer last month for our anniversary, and it sure does do a great job.

Todd is the best hubby out there. I am really glad that we never gave up on each other and we make this work. I hate when people just throw in the towel and then feel sorry for themselves because the are alone. But hey they wanted it that way so grow up right. Todd and I do not have a perfect marriage but we have learned how to work things out and move on from it. I love Todd more and more everyday. We have to beautiful girls are the best and we know that we can get through anything that is thrown our way, we are not quiters. As Todd and I always say want does not kills us makes us stronger. Our little family grows stronger each and ever day.

Tomorrow we are going to have lunch with the girls up at school then the 4th grade is doing a litte presention on what they have been doing all year. It is so hard to believe that lizzie is going to be in 5th grade next year and Shelbie a first grader. God where has the time gone? they are going up way to fast for me.

Lizzie's track and Field day

Today was Lizzie's track and field day up at the high school. It was a beautiful day to be outside and watch her do her events. Lizzie did the 50 meter dash and was 3 in her heat!!! Way to go baby girl and she also rocked in the Frisbee throw, she throw it for 30 yards!!! Her last event was the sack race her and her partner came in 3rd in their heat!!! Todd and I had a blast watching her and she had fun doing all her stuff. I think I just might make a runner out of her yet. She just need to work on her form a little.

We got to see her old principle who is now the super. for elementary schools and her old vice principle who is now principle at another elementary school.

Poor Lizzie has a sunburn on the top of her head and her face got it too. So i am about to put some stuff on her to make her feel better.

Our Camping trip

Well this past weekend we went camping again. This time we went to Withrow Springs state park here in arkansas. We had a lot of fun with Todd's parents. Boy oh boy Friday night was a little scary, we had a really bad storm and it was so windy. Todd kept asking me if me and the girls wanted to go in to the Rv with his parents and I was like no I will be okay. And we were we weathered the storm with only 1 small problem our tent got flooded. But our new tent rocks otherwise, it is so big and has so much room.

On saturday we all hiked about 6 miles and it was fun. I even think Nana had fun even if she fell twice but Nana did not get hurt and kept on hiking-Way to go Nana!!

Todd surprised me with a walking stick on Saturady night it is my annv gift and he even hot me a little thinhy that you put on it to show where you have hiked. Todd also got the girls walking sticks and the things to go on them. THen on Sunday on our way out we stopped at the gift shop and my mom got us all some shirts, to go with our collection of camping and hiking shirts.

Tomorrow is lizzie's track day and she is excited that todd and i are going to be there to watch her. SHe is in 3 events!!!

LIFE

Well It has been awhile since I last posted something. The girls are doing great, a few weeks ago Lizzie had her Honor's Choir concert and she did so great!! Her dad and I are so very proud of her, she is going to try out for it agin next year. Next year is a big year for her. It will be her last year in elementary school. Shelbie is also doing great, she has improved so much in her reading!!! Way to go Shelbie!!! This coming week Lizzie has her track day and we are planning on going to it. Lizzie is in 4 events and I know she will do great. it is hard to believe that the girls get out of school in like 3 weeks. Boy am I read to sleep in!!!

A few weeks ago we went camping with Todd's parents up at Devil's Den. We had a great time and the hiking was great. We only had one small accident, Miss Shelbie decided she wanted to fall out of Nana and Papa's rv. She did not get hurt to bad I think it scared her more then anything. Keeping my fingers crossed no accidents this time. We are going camping agin this weekend the girls are really excited- I just hope it does not rain.

This past weekend was mother's day and Todd and the girls got me a plant and a money tree, plus a James Patterson book. I had a great day and I am blessed to have 2 wonderful, caring and sweet girls.

Well I guess I will run for now, my dyer just went off.
